The pix of the fly is incredible. I guess the E-1 is still not showing its age.

The fly was such a poser, I went to almost minimum focusing distance and it just stood there, probably by that time I was stinking like rotten meat...

The E-1 takes excellent pictures, and was coined as "the photographer's camera", probably because of the relatively lower resolution, it forces you to frame properly; 5mp does not leave much room for cropping. The large VF and FS-2 grid screen helps plenty in that regard.

Another reason why I consigned the E-300 to the back of the dry cabi. :bsmilie:

40~150?? This I gotta try. How far was the subject to the lens??

For #3, refer to myfourthirds.com

http://www.myfourthirds.com/document.php?id=15445

My working distance is about 1 meter away from the object. Plain Tiger itself is beautiful and attract my attention wherever it goes. It was about noon time and bright sunny day when this picture was taken. I used FL36 (FP & TTL mode) for fill-in flash and the combination of 40 - 150mm zoom lens & ex-25 to capture this beautiful picture.

For taking #1, no extension is required as it is the bigger butterfly of the three

think i better look up for ex25 lio...i have problem to shoot butterfly with 35mm...with 40-150mm, not 'big' enough:confused:

Think I gotta go to a butterfly farm and try all that. I hardly carry the 40~150 with me. Think I underestimate that lens.

The 40-150mm is quite capable of great photos, I myself routinely use the 50-200mm for close-ups.

Great photos everyone!
