Olympus 50-200mm softer than 14-54mm?

If at all possible, use a tripod, or at least a monopod for dim stage lights and all. It may be a pain to carry around but its there if you do need it. (I sling it around the back like an Armbrust LAW... :bsmilie

Attempting 1/15 shutter speed at 200mm is ah, not advisable. Especially E-System 200mm.

If you can brace yourself against something, then why not?

By the way, for those shooting concerts, you will typically WANT to shoot manual because of tricky lighting conditions. Most of the time, generally you will set your camera at 1/125s f4 at ISO400. And work from there. Remember, there is always Photoshop and Noise Ninja.

just wondering, just been tinkling with my 50-200 and i'm finding the zoom ring to be rather stiff, i dun remember it being THAT stiff... zooming out is fine, just back in, do u guys find zooming back in (200 -->50 ) alot stiffer than from 50 --> 200 ??

Can I ask, what is the setting on your dry cab? If it is constantly under 40%, you have dried grease... time to get the ring oiled by Oly. If you have warranty for the product.
