Got one on ebay at a good price but then.. when I opened the film cover, the light seal is gunky all over the inside.
DIYed and scrap through the gunk and replaced it with 1mm black foam cut to size.

Going to test out the film outcome. :)

Great work in restoring a beautiful camera. I have the RC too, but the lens is a fogged up. Still working well though and have yet to see results from my colour film. Good luck!

thanks for sharing the information. care to share where you got the 1mm foam strips?

I got the foam from Popular Bookstore. :)

CHEAP CHEAP S$3.20 for 10 pieces at A4 size

great job in the restoration and thanks for sharing! ;)

can I ask how difficult was it to cut the 1mm foam slice?

I use a new blade hobby knife to sliced the foam with metal ruler. The difficult part is getting the correct width to fit in. I have to redo a few times.

love this cam , nice touch, saw them sell instant type online as well. this is better solution :)

awesome! You have intrigue fingers! :D
