Oly Users: Lightroom 4 or Olympus Viewer 2?

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't EM5 12 stop for dynamic range? JPEG for EM5 should be very good enough even if you want to recover some details from example the darkest or lightest portion (have to check histogram), I recently went to henderson wave and took some nightshot, there is 1 shot I took towards the main road below with tall dense trees, that particular photo I took was with other section in the right exposure except for the trees which was closed to black but somehow I managed to recover the trees back to dark green again.

JPEG has only 8bit per channel, everything below 0 and above 255 is gone.

I know that. What I was referring to was the dynamic range is so good for EM5 such that RAW is not a must even if you want to do PP. That shot I mentioned, at first I thought the trees were so dark that recovery is impossible until I saw the histogram for the photo.

Still no argument against raw, raw will have still more headroom for that.

There is a lot of headroom in the E-M5 jpegs already. I can easily correct 3 stop of exposures with no problem at all. Its good enough for me minus the hassle of RAW processing. Also, too much trouble trying to convert RAWs to the OOC JPEG colours which I find is more important than exposure recovery. Exposure is something that is operator dependent. Just make sure that you expose properly and you wun need RAW actually. Clearly different strokes for different folks...but I been down the RAW alley and its not for me. I get way more mileage shooting in JPEG than RAW. The only camera I shoot in RAW though is the XZ-1. Reason being, I cannot switch of the noise filter in JPEG mode.
