Children, they grow up so fast nowadays. By the time she is 12, she'll be doing Tai Chi and line dancing (If she migrates to SG).

Very entertaining. two

I think we a bit "sua ku" lah.... these days you can see scenes like these in cities all over Asia liao. On a weekend over here in Taipei, you will see hundreds, (Yes, I said hundreds) of b-boys and b-girls, strutting their stuff at the CKS Memorial Hall. Some of the more experienced ones will even conduct free classes for anyone who's interested. You go to any university, schools, parks here, you are usually find some youths in some corner practising their dance.

I feel this is something we are really having a shortage of in SG; freedom of expression. No, I dun mean that we should all wear baggy pants, go "bling bling", or wear more rings than we have fingers. Neither do I mean anything that's remotely related to censorship, democracy etc etc.

What I mean is, the freedom to express ourselves without having to worry about disdainful looks from others and restraining ourselves to fit into a society that stresses comformity.

It applies to dancing, it also to apply to photography. I really hope in future, photography will be more than just a "hobby" or "just a job" for us here in Singapore.

Personally, I saw a film recently which gave me a lot of inspiration. Check out
"Burning Dreams" (歌舞中国）by Wayne Peng(彭文淳）. It's a documentary film about a dance company in Shanghai and how the dancers strive to improve their art and bring greater recognition to dance.

The official website here .
The photography and artistic directions in the film is really really wonderful! I'm hoping it will be out on DVD soon.
