For X-Pro2 my understanding is that Tokyo is making sure prices are held to their standards.
SG preorder the most attractive item for me is the metal hand grip which I will definitely need when I use the XF16-55.

It is ok, you can set it to English. I set my Sony A5000 Korean set to English no problem
I think Fujifilm Singapore honour foreign set.
Not sure but my guess is shouldn't be a problem. I bought my Olympus EM1 Korean set and no problem with firmware update

If buy from Map Camera, do you know if can get "English" version for the menu? All cameras has option to choose English language in menu..as far as I know for true for Ricoh n Pentax camera.
Also, is there international warranty?
I bought a lens pentax at Map Camera last year , it has international warranty. I think u have to tell them you need international warranty before you pay, think they can convert it on the spot.
if got new firmware update, any problem if the camera is bought in Japan? I don't think they make different languages update versions. Only one version regardless of language.

Pls refer to the sticky thread on Fujifilm warranty policies. At least for now it's is a very clear policy that Japan domestic sets are not covered by international warranty.
The warranty slips from Japan domestic sets do state clearly at the bottom that they are not eligible for international warranty.
Sorry I had to share this as I know of a case where an unscrupulous seller tore off the bottom part of the Japan warranty card (nearly) and resold a body to someone in CS misrepresenting that it's covered by warranty in SG.
It is indeed cheaper buying from Japan if one is interested in just the lowest possible price and not any additional accessories. So just buy with clear knowledge knowing that any repairs needed if one is really unlucky is chargeable.

If we can find a way to get from Amazon Canada, it'll be awesome. The prices look so good, and there's international warranty.
Waiting for mine to be shipped from canada after embargo lifted.
