A7/R's highest shutter speed is 1/8000... There is not setting to set a minimum shutter speed when using Auto ISO in A or S mode. I just go M mode and manage the shutter speed and aperture separately as I m using manual focus lenses... ISO set to Auto and just let it adjust by itself. I also set EV to +0.3 as neutral EV tends to under expose my shots by a 1/3 exposure... Hope this is helpful...

I see. I uses manual mode all the time, so find it strange to hear of a minimum shutter setting when we can always over ride the settings ourselves . But I get what that function does now. Thanks

Hawk's is coming out with a v3 helicoid and I'm thinking whether to wait or buy the VC one instead.

Any comments on the build of the current Hawk's vs the VC? I'm assuming both will work as they should(i.e. focus to infinity).

Using V2.5... build quality as usual is top notch. focus to infinity as it should be. no free play when mounted onto cam wif any lens sizes or weights. fast delivery via Hawk Peng in Taiwan thru his eBay shop...

I wonder if sony can add min shutter with auto iso..I'm so missing that feature from my 5d3...the default on the a7r isnt fast enough to prevent any shake!

I'm just not sure if A7 can achieve such "clean" iso at 12800 without NR.. no comment about Df since I don't have it.

Also I feel he's too exaggerated in one of the comment he replied it's in the pitch black room he shoot that pic. If so how come he still managed to shoot at 1/640s.

Sometimes I don't fully believe his review..

Yap I think it's the only resort if want to control shutter speed with auto iso especially if u're using legacy lens. But then it would come in handy if AV mode also have min shutter speed with native lens/adapter with electronic contact

See if d firmware updates enable this for A and S mode.
