Got my FE 35mm F2.8 at Sony Centre @ funan lvl 3. Sale person say still got about 3-4 sets. For member who still looks good for one, but got to pay full retail.

SLR Gear has tested the FE 55 1.8 and they liked it. The FE 35mm 2.8 test should be out soon.

I'm actually not desperate to get the FE 35mm as I'm still playing with the Zeiss 35mm F2, which has shallower DOF than the FE 35 and may be sharper.
I also have a Pentax DA40 F2.8 pancake, which is a full frame lens, to play with. That is a very sharp and compact lens...

Was waiting for more reviews before deciding between a7 and a7r for stills/ video (with video capabilities having equal importance) and this brief test came as a surprise. For those who have yet purchased their systems and are caught in the same dilemma, apparently, the A7r was proven to handle moire much better in video and a better overall performer ! It was only after reading up more that i realized the AA filter on these systems worked only for stills and has no effect in 1080p. A misconception i always had about aa filters for video. Hope this helps for those who are still pondering. This just made the decision a little harder for me cuz im usually on wide angles, 28mm range and the a7 would be a no brainer but the video issues with the a7, hmmmm. I suppose its easier to fix up stills than moire in vids. Links for article below.

No good fit hard glass protector for now for A7/R. Just checked in funan. Just paste a cheap 3 dollars plastic protector for now. Haha
Just call them up lar.
By the way, I was talking to the manager at the Sony shop. Apparently only the Wisma and another branch is directly owned by Sony. The rest are kind of 'Premium' distributor shops run by 3rd party.
