Thanks for the info . When put into that context I feel way better. Paid for my one of the only two in stock at store. Will collect it together with the a7 body tomorrow.

Initially wanted to preorder at wisma coz near my office, but they told me all 27 nov batch filled, only can get on 16 dec. So i preordered at CP. Now on my way home with A7 & 35mm, lol. There were 5 ppl collecting at the same time, all with 35mm lenses.

Wow... Such a deal is in place? That would be quite nice! I hear the A7/A7R is seriously power hungry... Maybe a discount on the external battery charger would be nice too... So wish Sony would make a dual battery charger

That Sony deal is pretty much 365 days per year in place.

Confession: I broke down and went MS Color to get a unit - the A7 with the 28-70 kit zoom. Didn't pre-order beforehand, but I did call them before hand to ensure I don't make a wasted trip. Got the extra battery for $19 too. Very good service - can't believe this is only the second time I bought anything from them!
