Anyone here know the rated shutter count for both the A7 and A7r as I can't find it anywhere in the specs. Thanks.

300k is high end professional dslr cameras. The rest is usually 100k.

I asked because my NEX 5N's shutter failed at 4150 on 11/11/2013, and it's out of warranty, so I have to pay for replacement. Don't know whether it's fortunate or unfortunate for me, or just bad luck. Sony could not offer me any reason or consolation.

Just bad luck. :-P

sorry but to me both of this pictures (when view at original size) don't justify the camera..
1st pic, look smudgy and at iso (only) 2000 should not be that bad i supposed. not sure if it's the camera over-processed jpeg thing or what..
2nd pic, not sure where the focus point is but there's nothing sharp there.. is it the AF accuracy thing or handshake blur?

f/8 on CV15 on A7, din test A7R...

f/1.8 on Zeiss FE 55/1.8 on A7...

Pic one just a quick shot, and quite dim, ISO easily 5000.

Pic 2 is handshake as a retake was shared here with sharper rendering.

Went for the 11am session. Great event by sony. They were really flexible in letting us use our own lenses and sd cards. Someone even dropped an a7/r with a 70-200 attached. Hope the camera and lens are ok.

Will post pics when I reach home later. Shot quite a few with my 35 1.4. 50 1.1 and 15 4.5. All lenses performed v well.

Choice between a7 vs r for me is clear nw. The a7r shows the magenta corner issues with the 15 4.5. The a7 handled the lens very well. So those into uwa I advise a7.

AF wise. Surprise surprise. A7r was indeed faster than the a7. Not sure if it is a preproduction firmware issue. Perhaps the camera doesn't know whether to use pdaf or cdaf and resulted in slower af.

But since I am gonna use manual lenses. It is the a7 for me.

Did a pre-order at cathay photo for the a7 body. Gonna avoid the kit lens. Honestly the image was not bad. Af was accurate. But really really slow. Af even slower den eos-m. Perhaps is a firmware issue.

Glad to see more in depth details from u. Haha. Going for A7 too since I MF more. But d 55/1.8 is quite fast on AF on A7. Show sample photos?

Wow eos M is one of the lowest ranked mirrorless lei in term of AF... and the a7s are slower... ?

Haha just kidding
, maybe reviewers are giving out bad experience so easier to secure stock hahah.

Pls dun be offended, appreciate all the sharing.
