That's what I thought initially too... damn somewhere somehow, the slope became a vertical fall, an abyss!

It's a black hole.

i placed myself on the pre-order interest list for a A7 kit. not sure if i shld change it to just the A7 body hehe....

May I know where you pre-order? Did they already have a price or no committed price yet?

I should get myself on the pre-order list , judging by how much interests there is on these bodies. And the prices probably won't move too much for the next 6 months.

A7 performs better wif d UWA lenses like this CV12.

so confusing....so what are the lenses/types of lenses that will perform better on the A7R? Wasn't the micro offset lenses and fancy software available in the A7R suppose to take care of the corners of UWA?

Perhaps not for non native lenses. Wouldn't be surprised if they released a native FE UWA lens that will work perfectly, albeit at a steep premium.

Yeah, what a surprise... ;)

i asked MScolor to put me on the pre-order waitlist.

ya...but it is a genuine quesiton of mine... i was still thinking if perhaps the leica M mount voigtlander lenses work much better on A7R vs A7, i may change my pre-order to the A7R and just use the sony manual focus all the way (with focus peaking help of course).

Thinking about the voigtlander 35 1.2 II, 50 1.1 and 75 1.8 as my 3 prime set up for the A7 / A7R. UWA i will use my 5D haha....

Not a good idea to mate the sony sensor to the ultra wide legacy lenses, anything from 35mm and above should be fine and that is good enough for me!

Well, some of the best RF glass are the 50mm lenses!

Let the fun begin... a collapsible lens on the Sony A7? :D

For me, I am anxiously waiting to see how my DSLR lenses will perform on the A7. Especially the CZJ 35/2.4 and Rollei 50/1.8. :)
