Nvm la, no budget yet. My SEL lens still unsold , only can get cheap rokkor 50mm1.4 to play around lo hehe

am also looking for lens now..but duno what i want :bsmilie:

ok i am A7r less now. just sent the body in to Sony Service Centre.

Found that the Sensor looks like it has certain smudges/cleaning marks when viewed from certain angles. Seems to be under the optical glass protecting the sensor rather than on the surface as I couldn't clean it off myself.

Hopefully Sony svc can resolve it or else swap a new sensor/camera for me.

brought out my 5D3 again after 1 mth of neglect. feels like a brick!

It was ok ytd ya?

the smudges doesnt seem to have impact on IQ from what i see.... but looks like the marks have been there all along from the factory cuz it doesn't look like it is on the surface but underneath the glass.

only can be seen from certain angles in the light, not easily visible so i didn't notice when i checked the camera for the purchase

I think quite ex , unless you really like and want the lens The CV lenses have very pleasing bokeh as well leh. If just need smooth and buttery bokeh, go for first hand CV may be more worth while , that's my thoughts

Does all CV use the same adaptor to nex ??

Perhaps if we wield that on an MRT Train we'll be striking fear into the hearts of Singaporeans :bsmilie:

I have no doubt the A7 and A7R are better cameras in alot of ways than the Leica M9 and even the Lecia M. AF, ISO, size/weight, price, availability just to name the obvious ones.

Unless you own a ton of legacy Leica glass, then it is a different story.

But I seriously think the author of the article may have actually done the A7 and A7R disservice by listing some very nit picky reasons. For example, scratching his glasses against the metal of the M9... It kinda discredits the article and the other far more legitimate reasons.

I apologize if this has already been asked and answered.

Why does the Sony AF adapter need a mirror? Other adapters don't seem to need one and I don't see AF needing a mirror.
