Pardon me for the noob question, but what is the difference for RC? Is it like a beta, and that when the final version is released, the RC cease to exist?

RC stands for release candidate, in short, it's not bug free. If it is fully tested, they will use terms like "update version ".

New a7 user here, after reading thru the whole manual, still cant find how to digitally zoom to check focus if using manual focus lens. Please help. Thx

Bro,if you haven't fiddle with the default settings then it should be right up there on the C1 button beside the shutter. You have to press twice tho.

D C1 button is quite weird to do d magnification. I set up on my AEL button so I can use d thumb instead.

1. Vivitar 55 f2.8 Macro love this lens sharp and light
2. Meyer-Optik 135 mm f2.8 nice lens also I like
3. don't have the Cron-M but I have the big brother Cron-R 50 lolz

the rest heard and read about them specially the Minolta, Pentax and Konica living legends these lens are.

D C1 button is quite weird to do d magnification. I set up on my AEL button so I can use d thumb instead.

take some time to get use to it bro but after a while it become easy as you just need to move your shutter finger between shutter button and C1... I set mine to manual then when I'm ready just half press the shutter to go back to the normal view

I wonder if sony can add min shutter with auto iso..I'm so missing that feature from my 5d3...the default on the a7r isnt fast enough to prevent any shake!
