Some people lost infinity focus for certain lens. Some claim the tough mount is so tight that some lens can't be mounted.

I'm moving from Canon 6D to Sony A7R. But I still have my Canon 17-40mm f4L and 50mm f1.4.

Anyone can suggest a good replacement for these 2? Don't want to use canon lens on the A7R. And what kind of lens mount am I looking for so I don't have to use adapters? FE, E, A?

E mount (SEL) is the native lens mount for A7 series
A mount (SAL) is mainly for their DSLR which can also be used with A7 series with a LA-EA4 adapter (http://www.sony.com.sg/product/LA-EA4)

FE is just a term for Full Frame E-mount lens

I saw online got ppl said the app make camera start up slower, thats why they pull down the app from website not long ago

Don't you that "Smart Remote Control" App so I cannot comment but the start-up time of my A7 seem significant faster if I remember correctly the speed of the V.1.02. Now it almost instantly on even after turn-off for more than 30 minutes! The boot-up time after remove battery also seem to be faster.

Need to use further to see if the battery life will be affect or not!
