Not that it is faulty.... just that I can get the correct flash exposure easier with EM1 as compare to the A7... need time to play and set it up. ... but in the meantime, looking for a flash that can do TTL.....

Do u need d extra 24-27mm range n pay a few times more for a mere mediocre upgrade of IQ over d very good FE 28-70? Tatz yr alternative bro.

The 28-70 is afterall a kit lens. Comparing to the zeiss 24-70, it's obvious why the price difference is as such.
The kit has a variable aperture.
Relatively inferior build quality (the rubbers and plastics already don't exude confidence, and the dust issue that is mentioned.
Optically inferior (not by much I agree, but the otus isn't 40 times better than the EF 50 1.8)
For the amount of engineering put into the zeiss lens, I'll say it's OK for the money. At least I know I will still stick to this lens even if an upgrade or a 2.8 comes along.
Perhaps for the a7 or even a7r, the kit lens may be able to resolve the megapixels, but for future bodies it might be inadequate already.

Other than the Zeiss 135/1.8, I dun supposed any of the other A mount lens can beat this lens.
Haaa ya one of the best in term of performance and price..... any good old minolta lenses?
