Seems just like just a Singapore method, I just checked the NZ Sony site, the 55 is "available". (the 35mm is out of stock).
24-70 I believe is available here in about a week.

You can grab the lens hood for RX1/R (LHP-1) to use on the FE 35 or FE 55. Very nice match and looks solid!

Original LHP-1 Made in Japan, and over-priced ($2xx). There are exact replicate made by JJC, cost is a lot cheaper.

Just got my hands on FE 55mm f1.8. have not been playing around with it much but initial impressions: metallic body gives off a good build quality feel, with hood on lens feels abit too long, have a nice weighty feel to it.

yes, i too am disappointed with Sony Singapore. they are incredibly slow with getting any stocks for the lenses.they clami SG is a small market so they get low priority, but we don't pay lesser than bigger market so why should we be lower priority?
I see many people end up buying their FE lenses from overseas and by the time SG has stock, people already bought theirs elsewhere..then Sony will say poor sales in SG...
i've actually alrady given up hope trying to get the 24-70 from SG locally..i think i would have better luck overseas as well, same as my 35mm..

i don't think the LHP-1 was designed to be reversible. not much point using it on the FE 55 as well since it won't be effective in coverage for flare? only to zing the lens for nicer looks wahaha

SG market is indeed small, from what I observe, mostly are using canikons.
Just back from HK-china trip and I noticed that there are a lot Sony's NEXs users compare to canikon. Totally opposite as compare to Singapore.

When I borrow my nex 6 to my sister travel to HK, she said a lot ppl there said nex 6 is a good camera lol

The lens hood of RX1-R covers nicely to protect the edge of the lens barrel, thus preventing from knocks and dings.

It is also a very good match in terms of design, as compared to the standard hood.

One of the better designed lens hood I must say.
