.....and I'm sure that the next FE camera release will have a silent electronic shutter and 5-axis stabilisation. FE lenses are therefore an excellent investment for the future. I fully expect to sell my A7r within the next 2 years for the next FE camera especially if it has 5-axis stabilisation, but I should keep the FE lenses for many years to come....
Silent electronic shutter maybe yes but my gut feelings tell me not to expect a 5 or even 3 axis stabilization in the next A7 series. Sony has already produced FE lenses with OSS , which would likely mean Sony will prefer to have stabilization built into lenses instead of the body for its A7 line or FE lens series. From an economical standpoint , it prob will make more monetary sense to charge a premium for good lenses while making the body affordable to attract people into Sony.
There is plenty of market rumour that Sony has been working with Oly already on 5-axis stabilisation after their equity investment. All the Sony Alpha SLTs like the A99 etc use IBIS so Sony actually has more of a history with IBIS than OSS. Also, one key attribute of mirror less is being able to use legacy lenses, so IBIS would be an important feature. Panny built the GX7 with IBIS even though their lenses have OIS.
My uneducated guess is there isn't much space to house a sensor stabilisation in a mirrorless full frame body the size of the A7/R, besides there was report of some problem with Olympus 5-axis stabilisation previously.
If I'm a manufacturer, I would prefer to build the stabilisation around my own make of lenses...that way I can milk the users for more money with each lens, and differentiate the Sony FE lenses from the rest.
But then again, it's hard to predict what lies ahead of Sony with these new system. The A99 replacement will be very interesting to see which direction is Sony taking for their Pro and enthusiast camera road map

I heard a lot about these rumors. But similar to what silgt shared, my stand is still unchanged. Key point is not to say Sony can't build it (hey, regardless of anything, they did do a stunner with a FF mirrorless), rather its that Sony will not do it - reasons simply being what silgt and me shared.
Panny basically did IS in GX7 most likely due to them finally accepting the fact Oly has been leading in MFT body sales with in-body IS as an advantage. And even so, the GX7 still only gives 2-axis IS for a flagship model. Even the most basic Olympus EM10 model comes with 3 axis IBIS.
Anyway, i'm making guesses here. No one will know Sony's roadmap which is obviously hard to fathom too. In all aspects, I'd be duper proud of Sony if it just keeps to its promise of supporting the A7/R FE system till fruition. If Sony really did a 5 IBIS FF mirrorless, i can give u my word the first thing i'd do is to shout : take my money! and beg Thoth for his prized Rokkor haha.
wa steady. rrs plus 24-70. got from the cser grey set?

Yes, this is the main hurdle they have to overcomeMy uneducated guess is there isn't much space to house a sensor stabilisation in a mirrorless full frame body the size of the A7/R, besides there was report of some problem with Olympus 5-axis stabilisation previously.

This one is great for me...MFD is 0.4m lagi best for my usage. Need AF for family day out, travel and during my lazy days. Else it will be fully utilised for product (still) shots and also I can't trust Sony to deliver on time so I crumple and gave in. So now I've got a guaranteed first batch priority for this lens when it release since I'm the first who paid a deposit back in early Dec, so if anyone wants to jump queue let me know.
