Nice catch of the ATI gilcrest, their DC-8s actually pop in and out of WSAP quite often.
BTW that looks like one heck of a hazy day. What day/time was it? Rwy 02 or 20?
What would be a good day and time to spot at WSSL?
I also saw those 3 youngsters when i was onboard a Boeing 858 going back to seletar. :bsmilie:Today evening at Changi South , I saw 3 youngersters and a lonely senior gentlemen taking their best shot there. At the rate all of us are going , this is going to be a strong thread that will be kept alive.

Ah, thanks for the tips.Anytime before 1830 Hrs, seriously. Activities at WSSL is by chance, you won't know what is coming or going on there. The one I took was between 1130 to 1230, never knew a squadron of heli was there rather pleasant surprise. Give an hour for lunch break around 1230 - 1330. Theoritically.
Usually 1600 - 1800; there will be regular incoming from the north. Anything else really depends on your luck at WSSL. For example, I was at WSAP, WSSL & WSSS at 3 different timing in one day. What you spot really depends.

Same plane, same time?
haha... yah loh.Same plane, same time?
Ah, thanks for the tips.
Anyway I would actually recommend getting an airband scanner for anyone who will like to bring their passion for plane spotting to a whole new level, just by tuning in to the ATIS (Automatic Terminal Information Service) of the aerodrome will provide much useful information (weather conditions, runway in use etc etc.) not to mention the various communication going on between all the ATC units (Singapore Radar, Approach, Tower, Ground etc. etc.) and the aircraft will greatly enhance your plane spotting experience.
Get a pocket size airband scanner with TRS jack for the earpiece will do just fine as they are illegal to use without a permit in Singapore.
