Unless you have insider information, or some sort of direct access to the ACARS network, flight plans or something similar, it would be quite difficult (if not impossible) to know the exact registration number of the particular aircraft that is due to land.

Anyway, if there are 1 one of a kind visitor (e.g. An-225 Mriya) coming, i'm sure someone will post it up. ;)

With a VHF radio receiver, you might be able to hear ATC. Kekeke but it is actually illegal.

Taken this morning, it's an A330 dunno which airline, hopefully not Air France =P

That should be a Jet Airways A330-200 arriving from VABB (Mumbai, India) as Flight 9W12 (codeshare with Qantas Airways Flight 3950) at 0722 hours this morning.

Great shot, would be much nicer if the aircraft was directly in the middle of the sun instead. Hmm, I'm guessing if there is any remote chance that you should make your way to Mil-Com after your early morning shoot at Changi Beach, or is it your day off? :bsmilie:

IC, how come you know all about this?

No lah, i went there Sunday morning.
Company cutting down budget, no more milcom course since last two modules. :(

Anybody know when you get the most 747s coming in to land? 5pm-ish?
And at this time of the year, winds are coming from the south right? Don't want to get to Changi beach only to find out I have to relocate to Changi Business Park :(

I went to changi beach a couple of time lately, i could see a lot of 747-400 approach from there. (no specified time)
So I think you won't bet wrong going there. :D

If you're just trying to spot B744, they're still quite common and arrive on a regular basis from multiple airlines throughout the entire day and night. B742 and B743 though are getting extremely rare, Jett8 Airlines Cargo currently operates 1 B772F and 1 B774F, their flight schedule from 13 May 2009 to 24 October 2009 can be located here.

Edit: Just to add to the above and to the best of mine knowlege, Saudi Arabian Airlines is the only airline that currently operates regular passenger service with the B743 for schedule flights in and out of SIN/WSSS. Only Jett8 Airlines Cargo and Cathay Pacific Cargo are currently operating regular freighter services with the B742 for schedule flights in and out of SIN/WSSS.

Yup, it's the south-west monsoon season from late March to September.

You might want to refer to this post for spotting locations and also this post for further information on METAR reports. ;)

I think u better explain to all which point use for shoot take offs or landings, cos not everyone can understand the weather codes & differents in wind directions. ;p
