A few from April and early may.

Lucky to catch the anti-collision light as it was flashing.:)

Some older ones from a couple of months ago.

Taken on a dull gray day.

Hi, care to share what settings one can use around 5-7pm at changi beach? Oh ya, one more thing, how do some people know when a special livery plane is going to come on that day so that sotters can specifically go down to catch it?(lets say a jal yokoso japan 747) Or is it pure luck? Thanks.

 saw this from my bedroom window a few times taking off from PLAB.
Fantastic aircraft, hopefully the RSAF will be able to get a couple of C-17s to fulfil the requirements for strategic airlift. AFAIK / IIRC, I was shown a video (a couple of years back) of the C-17 conducting a emergency breakaway manoeuvre (or something similar) with thrust reversal activated, it dropped straight down like how a brick would. Pretty cool. :bsmilie:

Unless you have insider information, or some sort of direct access to the ACARS network, flight plans or something similar, it would be quite difficult (if not impossible) to know the exact registration number of the particular aircraft that is due to land.

Anyway, if there are 1 one of a kind visitor (e.g. An-225 Mriya) coming, i'm sure someone will post it up. ;)

Hi fellow spotter,

Here my first contribution. Just took up plane spotting late last year. Still learning the finer point of plane spotting. Comments are most welcome

Actually, wouldnt the registration number be visible from the plane's body?

Yes, but Calcjr23 and I was actually referring to finding out the registration number of the particular flight even before it lands. The same flight number does not implies that the same aircraft, with the same rego, is being used all the time. ;)

For flights originating from the United States, you can track the aircraft through websites and programs like FlightAware, FlightStats, FlyteComm, FlightView, etc. etc. But it is more difficult when regional flights are concerned.
