Official Plane Spotting Thread III

Anyone managed to catch the osprey today?

it has been a while since I last posted here , share with all some recent catch.

Interesting! An Osprey actually came in.

Wow ! you mean a V-22 Osprey came in to WSAP ?
all the while I thought he is talking about the 140 Squadron "Osprey".
:D

share with all an early bird...

capture the aircraft standing on the street pointing to the sky, didn't ask the pilot to pose for me.

(I know this post is way long overdue , but i just noticed this)

Did anyone realise that A/C# 8317 is sans CFT (FAST pack)??
BTW is the 'MudHen' still able to carry 4 x AMRAAMs with the CFT (FAST pack) attached??
Or is the air to air armament restricted to the underwing pylon?

Yes, the Strike Eagle can carry 2 AIM-120 AMRAAMs on each long CFT pylon. They would need to be mounted using LAU-106 launchers.

yap, the v-22 came in...

wondering if they're carrying any cargo?
Is it somewhat related about the Commando Sling ops?

Seen somewhere it's held 4 times per year in WSAP.
