Those GENX high-bypass turbofan are really quiet, kind of shocked me when the Pilot Flying (PF) advanced the throttle to TOGA thrust and I'm still anticipating for the sweet, sweet whine of the powerplant turbines to spool up further towards takeoff thrust. :lovegrin:re-take of our Genx visitors

Yep the dreamliner is significantly quieter than most other twinjet, with humble hum it climbed into the clouds gracefully
Not many encounter with the 747-8s but with 4x Genx2B and I would say its only slightly quieter than 744s
so far my fav spoolup whine are from RR trents, some A320s also sound the same but havent go identify if coming from IAE or CFM
