Hey!
I went to Changi Beach earlier today to take some pics of planes
Really happy with the session as I managed to capture 30 planes in roughly 1.5 hours!
Would it be okay with you guys if I sorta spammed the thread with pics?
Just wanna get 'permission' before I do so![]()
My workplace is some distance away from Changi Beach, so I can see pretty much anything landing at Changi from the north. So far nothing special; I have yet to see any AN-124s or 225s or any huge Russian jets for that sort (perhaps noise restrictions? I'm not sure). Anyway, not many airlines in the Asia Pacific region operate long haul Russian jets. I've seen some civilian C-130s landing at Changi before though.
The RSAF KC-135s and F50s usually turn into the flight corridor over the sea between Tekong and the mainland, other than that they look real small compared to the commercial airliners.
Based on my observations in the last 6 months, the daily schedule seems to be like this:
Sunrise to 8am - a lot of heavies. SIA has a A380 coming in everyday at around 745.
8am to 10am - a lot of small birds. A320 variants mainly.
10-12am not sure. I'm usually out for lunch etc.
3-5pm - mixed lot. A lot of budget planes, but also quite a number of heavies (usually cargo).
5-7pm - The mother lode. A lot of heavies come in during this time. SIA also has another A380 that comes in at around 545.
A lot of heavies come in at night. Those times when I get off work late I see a lot of heavies, however its too dark to get anything.

Lufthansa might just christen one of their Airbus A380-841 on order after the tropical island city-state of Singapore.First Lufthansa A380 arriving in Singpaore on 31 Oct (and is a Monday >_<)
Lufthansa - Lufthansa launching A380 service to Singapore
Also it's been almost a year since Qantas Airbus A380-842 "VH-OQA (Nancy Bird Walton)" started hogging valuable CAG and SIAEC real estate at WSSS, hopefully it will be up in the air and flying soon.
HaHa. Busy, Busy, Busy. This thread seems to be pretty much dead...
Anyways, today afternoon, I saw what seemed to be a 747 without the 'bump' heading towards PLAB.
So that's sth. which I don't think is all that common, and does anyone know what it is?
It isn't painted in military colours that's for sure...
It's a long shot, but I'm really really curious to know what it is...
Talking about Heron, could we possibly see a RSAF IAI Heron on display any time soon? :think:Other than the migrating heron on the ground; this one came zooming pass above.
