Somehow the way Singapore Amateur Radio Transmitting Society (SARTS) termed the RSAF Open House 2011 as an antenna exhibition instead kinds of cracked me up. :bsmilie:

Hopefully the local 9V hams had fun scrutinising over the Boeing F-15SG Strike Eagle, Gulfstream G550 CAEW and Sikorsky S-70B Seahawk Electronic Warfare (EW) / radio communication sensors and antennas configuration.

Shikra 1 with burners cooking taken on the morning of 26 May at the RSAF Open House by Chris.

Would be nice if it was oxygen enriched glowing blue flames in the afterburners like those of the Sukhoi fighters instead. Perhaps that's why their engines don't last that long due to the higher operating temperature.

They don't last as long, and what's worse, they don't even produce as much thrust. You're looking at 27k lbs vs 29k lbs.
