Very interesting thread.

However I kind of tire ( very) of seeing the same aircraft types... can somebody show case some foreign AC ? Any Flanker, MKM, Orion , Rafael , EuroFighter , Special ops plane UFOs

The Chinese had Mustang?

Hi guys, thanks for all the comments and enquiries though I will have to apologise as it is not in my intention to disclose any potential plane spotting locations that have not been revealed publicly for reasons of "security" as promised to a certain individual, though it shouldn't be too difficult for people familiar with the layout of aerodrome: WSSS to figure out that particular vantage point in question where the photos are taken. Your kind understanding is very much appreciated. :)

No problem I understand fully as I am also a plane spotter. :)

Hey guys, any photos on the new Airborne Early Warning aircraft by RSAF? its the G550.

Hi, nice shots there! i am new to this thread, and by no means aircraft expert.. :embrass:
but, i realised that the helmet size of the copilot is quite small compare to the pilot, or is it just me?

i love aircraft, but i am not an expert like you guys.. my father use to work at IAe (Indonesian Aerospace, or locally known as IPTN) in the design team for the N250 before the company affected by the monetary crisis.. i do share the same interest in aviation, but mostly i only admire the birds, i don't really know the specs of them.. haha!

cheers!

I thought nobody realise it , for one I cannot be sure if the backseat is a WSO. The individual appears smaller than the pilot. Either a teenager or female; also the individual was holding on to the console with the right hand all the way till landing. The sleeve was folded to the elbow which I doubt is regulation. Or unless WSO are getting smaller in sizes?

Also, a big welcome to you !

yup, i thought it was a female copilot, but it is still quite small.. It's so intriguing.. hehe..
btw, in page 10, post 3190, you can see the same thing, the copilot has quite small helmet, but the photo below it it is "normal" in size.. haha! just another out of nowhere observation..

thanks for the warm welcome!

The pilot is wearing a Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System (JHMCS). It makes the helmet alot bigger because there are projectors on the helmet projecting onto the visor.

The ejection seats of the back-seater/WSO in twin-seater eagles (B, D, DJ, E, I, K, S, SG) are situated lower compared to the front-seater, hence, giving an impression he's a shorty.

Oh, i see.. yeah, i read about the JHMCS in one of my dad's magazines..

but still in some photos earlier i saw the copilot is about the same size as the pilot..
maybe the copilot is of a smaller built? i don't know..

anyway, i just happened to notice it, and it intrigues me quite a bit, cus the proportion was quite different with other pictures..

thanks anyway!

Then that could be a taller wisso.

Just compare the stickers on the ejection seats against the fuselage. You'll see the height difference. The canopy is making you perceive otherwise.

Hi to all. I was a SFO in early October and was fortunate to catch the USN Blue Angels Aerobatics Team. They performed at The Bay Area, in front of the Fisherman's Wharf. Hope you like my newbie shots of they amazing performance. Please do comment. Thank you.

Looks like a test dummy to me. Either that, or it's "take your child to work day" :bsmilie::bsmilie:

IIRC, the Americans lent-leased approximately 50 P-51C and P-51D Mustangs to the Chinese in the final months of World War Two which was subsequently used by the Kuomintang (KMT) against the Communist Party of China (CPC) as they fought over control of the mainland.

The particular warbird in the photo could also probably be just an acquisition from another former operator to further expand the collections at China Aviation Museum though IMHO. :)

Ed Force One ;)

I'll be attending the band's show at the indoor stadium
Interesting, the lead band singer holds an Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with Boeing 757 type rating and flies "Ed Force One" himself as a Pilot-In-Command (PIC) for Astraeus Airlines where he is currently employed as their marketing director.

Actually it's none of the above. It's R2D2! Ha ha!
no, lah, it was Yoda..
All of you got it wrong, that's actually the autopilot. :bsmilie:
