It's true that Nikon have never created 24-105.

But Nikon had 2 lens with similar range:
- NIKKOR AF-S 24-120mm f/3.5-5.6G ED-IF VR
- NIKKOR AF 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5D IF

Both have been discontinued already.

I have got this lens many years back. Very sharp & good lens :thumbsup:

As Nikon won't sell the lens (other than kit lens) during exhibition, let's have a high hope that they have ready stock D3100 in the counter.

You missed one lens.
Nikon 24-120mm f/3.5-5.6 AF-D. Which I think is a much better performing lens than the AFS VR version.

for the lens, look like only 24-120 f/4 VR hasn't been released until now ...

But, it's still crappy. That's why I sold it for less than half the price.:embrass:
Hope the newer f/4 will be a much better performer in the CA, barrel & pin-cushion distortion area.:think:
