I use the included Hood adapter and fix a Filter to it works very well.

With the review set I never used any protection at all (not even the supplied lens cap) and it never even gathered one scratch from inside my bags or pockets even after a month long.

haha, q up pls! Haven't got the X70 to test IQ, but then there's nothing much really to complain GR's IQ...the tilt touchscreen is a feature I like plus the Fuji colors

Actually at street price, its really worth comparing. It has SR mode for those who are less savvy.
