Congratulations! Now u owe her a nice valentine's day present!

Just want to share my experience on 6D over past 1 month+. I covered 4 ADs with 6D as a 2nd body to 5DII. Before that 5D1 was my 2nd body.

What I like:
- lower noise at higher ISO. can shoot at 6400 comfortably. On 5D1, 1600 was max and 3200 on 5D2 for me.
- accurate/faster focusing at low light level. significantly better than 5D1 and 5D2. (i only use center point for all bodies)
- smaller and lighter body. Ideal for primes. (not talking about big fat primes >200 f2)

What I dislike:
- for playback, new zoom button placement and the way to navigate (I see no advantage with new zoom button)
- ETTL on pocket wizard TT1 and TT5 not working. Not sure when PW FW update will be out.

What I can live with:
- placement of 8 way navigation button to rear control dial
- single function buttons near top LCD. (previously dual functions on older FF bodies)

Conclusion. I am happy with the purchase.. ;p:sticktong:bsmilie:

For me i feel no diff on the functions as previous body was a 60D. like u, always use centre focus, so the focusing really doesn't bother me and the best part is, its faster than what i have on my previous body. The light weight was also a reason why i turned to this body as my first FF. Time to shoot more, for now, i am enjoying it~. :D

The corner sharpness is questionable. Check out the car bottom left side.

Its taken at Aperture F2.2 focus on face so front and far back are blurr

wow  is it true that 5Dmk3 'metering and focus accuracy' is worse than 6D?
not sure what the parameter of this test is

I am curious as to where this information comes from. What I've heard is that the focusing accuracy of the 5D3 and 1Dx are the highest in the industry with the lowest standard deviations.

Here is a link of a detailed test:

But they don't talk about metering in that article.

True. But I think that Canon's focusing issues from the days of the 1D3 and 7D have all but been cleared up. With the 1Dx and the 5D3 they now hold the crown in this area.

If you go to this page and add 5Dmk3 camera as a comparison, you can see the "Metering & focus accuracy" of 5Dmk3 bar is lower than 6D.
