1 more Pano to share. The 6D together with the 24-70 ii make for a lethal combo.15 frames in total hand held in crappy weather. And no I didn't need IS for this.:bsmilie:

The interesting bit about this piece is that all the key landmarks of Paris are captured in this frame. How many can you spot?

Hi owners of the 6D kit, can I check what lens date code should I be looking at for the 24-105 f/4? Intending to pick up one soon. :)

Cool. I see blue sky with lovely clouds. What crappy weather? :bsmilie:

Rays of light flare issue for early batches? :) See here

havent been following this thread much, very active users here!

wanted to check if any brothers changed to the 6D from the 5D3. I'm thinking of doing so for the lighter smaller body and wifi capabilities. Seems like better high ISO and DR is a plus of the 6D too!

Anyone can share their experience with the different AF system? The only thing i am afraid i will miss is the excellent side AF points of the 5D3. I dont mind just 11 AF points with a super centre AF point of the 6D since i don't shoot sports/need much tracking, but side AF point accuracy with big aperture lenses is my concern.

Don't do it, won't go along well with your avatar.

Crappy as in the winter winds. :( They made my hands image stabilize, they got glued to the camera:bsmilie:

You won't have trouble with the 6D AF. I was using the 1DX side by side with the 6D and had no trouble using either focusing systems. In fact many of my indoor shots were done with the side AF points of the 6D.

But that being said, i won't give up my 1dx as well. The weather sealing and speed is a godsend. The files that come out of the 1dx are also extremely beautiful and easy to work with.

I've actually seen that too, thanks! What I'm more concerned is the 24-105 that comes with the 6D - when are they produced? 2012? Just want to check to play safe. :)

I'll suggest you go with the 24-70 f4. My time spent with both the 24-105 and 24-70 ii leads me to believe that the younger brother of the 2.8 version will easily outperform the 24-105 f4 with no trouble at all.

anyone bought screen protector? from where. simple clear type will do. no need those $20+ like iphone 5

Any shop selling digital electronics.. even Harvey normal...Challenger..etc etc..even Hp shop. Just get a correct size Or u can trim ur own

5D mkIII screen protector is of the same size as 6D if you don't mind the 5D mkIII label at the bottom corner. Cost $15. Can get it from Orient Photo. Hope this help.

I believe 24 70 f4 image should be good too... . But it is shorter by 35mm.......

I wonder if the 24 105 f4 II will be produced n how ex it will be.....

Would expect improvement iq n price....

Doubt it... Too close to the 24-70/4.

Folks who think the extra 35 mm at the telephoto end is going to make a big difference ought to take a serious hard look at the real life FOV difference between 73 and 105 mm in this review of the 24-105 mm lens.

The truth is that there are dramatic changes in FOV with focal lengths below 35 mm. After that, the change is rather slow and gradual. At the telephoto end, one have to make huge steps in focal lengths in order to see substantial difference in FOV.

I've said it many times before, one should not be easily fooled by numbers and specs. Look at the real thing to see if it really makes a difference.

Well, Canon is a milking company.........

24-70mm F4 might be out now......... and maybe, a few years later, they release a 24-106mm f4 II... I am sure there will be more people get milked by Canon.........

Canon..... I wonder what does the milk from Canon taste like???
