How much are the screens? and I have never used before.... but if I am hopping onto 6D... I better learn...

Not sure, but read from somewhere before, can get for 30+ from canon vivo showroom (needs confirmation)

Thanks for sharing!

Now waiting patiently for adobe to update their ACR:cool:

Very strange....
We are upgrading to full frame sensor to get the best image quality....use the lowest ISO value, right?
Then why bother to see all the high ISO!
Like we are always switching to High ISO to prove "see low noise" yea... So happy.
Singapore is a hot tropical country.
We are always using Low ISO.

*try shooting low light action (night) in SG using low iso.*

upgrading to ff sensors will allow users to use it at high iso at low noise (compared to crop) when the need arises. Which is especially common when shooting low light action.

lol, Canon's spec sheet says the same since day 1: Canon U.S.A. : Consumer & Home Office : EOS 6D

Interestingly, if I look at the specifications of the AF sensor in every other camera, no effort is made to distinguish between the sensitivity of the center AF point from that of the rest. For example, on the 5D2, AF sensitivity is specified as -0.5eV to 18eV. However, we know only the center AF point is crossed, the others are straight. I doubt the straight AF sensors can perform at -0.5 eV. The same goes for high end AF sensors like the one on 5D3 and 1DX: again no distinction between sensitivity of crossed AF sensors from that of straight ones. I am willing to bet ALL straight AF sensors are specified at 0.5 to 18 eV.

It could be any value, doesn't need to be -0.5EV but I am sure Canon doesn't want to talk about it for a reason. You can bet not all AF points of the 5D3 go down to -2EV, probably just the center.

if you shoot at low iso, just get 550D 60D or 7D. no need full frame.

do you know that if you switch off your office lights, your surrounding becomes dark even though its hot tropical weather outside.

5D3 only the very center point goes to -2.

Do you know that FF is specific feel and look, with completely different DoF, not only question of ISO? Maybe you don't, having only a 550D ;)

so you shoot in total darkness?

Anyway the max I ever needed to use is 3200

who has used 25600 irl situations?

There are uses for extreme ISOs. Composing in utter darkness to shoot nightsky is one of them. Viewfinder is useless. Point in the general direction, take a test shot, chimp then adjust and repeat until desired framing is achieved. Instead of waiting for say, 2 minutes per adjustment at 3200, doing it at 12,800 cuts down to a quarter of the time needed. It makes a lot of difference when the night is freezing cold. Extreme ISOs not for final product but speeds up your productivity in this case.

of coz i know. my reply was targeted at smbody else (his context was ISO). To list out every single benefits and my knowledge of FF to him has no benefits to me. i have a life.
btw, 550D is great cam so pls dont look down on it unless you are a gearhead.:P
