Official Canon EOS 60D User Thread Part II

I don't think it will be that high, its a manual focus lens after all.

I didnt think so too, until asking store manager late May. But,prices fluctuate..hence,better call to confirm before heading down.

The 10-22 is an excellent UWA for crop cameras. The only drawback is its price.

Personally, if I were to buy a UWA, I'd seriously consider the new Sigma 8-16. PhotoZone now places this as the UWA to beat. The only drawback is that filters cannot be placed on the front element due to a bulging lens. If you are a serious landscaper then this lens may not be for you. However, if you intend to take architectural or interior shots, then this lens is great.

i am a user of 8-16mm. the extra mm make a big diff. the only draw back is the is f4.5-5.6 so when come the night a tripod is needed. is a fun len to play with on people (big head shot) or landscape.

Above is a short, very short video of a trip to Bali with my friends. The current comments now is that the song choice is not the best. Still looking for a suitable song to remake this one.

All info inside the video description. This is my 2nd video only, any c&c, are most welcome.

Thanks all!

Just relevant to our discussion about the 10-22 and 8mm as well. For me, I find the ending of the music rather abrupt. Prefer if it could gradually fade into the background. My opinion though. Why don't you post this in Crtique Corner to get more c&c? Btw, where's your first vid? Great effort though :)

hi guys, is anyone using a GGS screen protector with the 60D?

I read somewhere that the lcd doesn't close nicely when it is turned inwards as the ggs glass is thicker than the normal plastic protectors?

Yea..it doesn't close with the click..it just closes..No problem for me=D..happy that it's on other than a lousy protector....

Anyway been using the 60d for about 10mths now....got a battery grip for it not long ago..now is on all the time till i do cleaning...a must have..accessory ...saved me alot of trouble when i was trying to do portrait shots....

was a fool to get the 600d first..Lol.this awesome camera brought me awesome shots....slowly sold away my ef-s lenses i bought..now i have my fantastic 17-40mm l, paired with my 50mm f1.4..100mm his usm l, and lastly my awesome70-300mm is usm l. Which provides me with insane photos of the moon n sports....i just hope they come out with a 6D..i will get that over everything else.. if its ff n has 8fps..don't mind the 18mp..just improve the noise quality can already...that will be the killer combo don't mind paying 5dmk3 price for that

Oh. Thank you for the advise. Think I will keep the current lcd protector on then. Cos i turn the lcd inwards most of the time when not in use one.

I have the GGS screen and unlike eggie87, my screen will not sit flushed when facing inwards. I've resorted to keep the screen facing out like most other fixed-screen cameras. Got used to it after a while.

Hey bro and sis, share your story, experience and etc on eos60d, thanks

Don't bother getting 3rd parties..unless it's proven to be as good in charge capacity..battery life etc etc..
altough i have one spare batt which is from photix, its battery capacity is lesser, maybe only 60-70% of the original canon de.
But as a "spare" batt, i only use it in dire situation when my battery really dies during the shoot ( which almost never happen, only once when i went out with 50% charge in my original one) i can still have about 1000 snaps or more easily from the 3rd party battery. =) hope it helps
