Official Canon EOS 60D User Thread Part II

Hows the feel of the button. is it really feel like " stuck in the mud " as review by DigitalRevTv..

^^Which button?

Question: Anyone already brought their 60D to CSC for peeling rubber grips? How long does it take them to fix it?
I'm thinking I'd just repair it myself if it's too much hassle to bring to CSC.

TIA!

You must referring to the directional wheel. I'm not a 60D user but I don't really fancy it when I was deciding between 600D and 60D. But most users will say you will get used to it very soon :)

What does he mean by "stuck in the mud"? Sorry I haven't seen the DigitalRev review.

Anyway, I don't see any problems with the buttons. They're responsive and works well for me. Maybe you'd just need some time to get used to it if you came from a different model.

The tactile feedback is not as gd as the 600D. I was a 600D user switching to 60D. End of the day, u'll get used to it. Anyway, it's not an impt factor for me. The ergonomics and shutter are some of the deciding factors.

I don't notice any 'stick in the mud' problem with the buttons but my 60D is my first DSLR so I don't have anything to compare with.

The problem I'm having though is the viewfinder. I'm using the 50mm f/1.8 and it's very difficult to manual focus with the small viewfinder.

Are there any solutions to this or do I just have to get better?

Hi guys, any bags to recommend for 60D with 18-200mm plus battery grip? I am used to sling bags for ease of access. However, I am also looking for a backpack for a walkabout + photo taking and storage of personal effects, especially on an oversea vacation trip!

Will love to carry my 580EX2 and a 30mm prime along too. Notebook compartment is good to have but I dun have a proper laptop now, may get one in future, so its not essential. Plus I dun go around with a laptop often. Maybe a file with documents which is quite rare.

Anyone?

Go to TK photo and test all the bags to your hearts' content :)

I was there 2 days ago. But can find a suitable sling bag. Need some thing small but can fit my cam with BG. They are either too big or too small.

I think you just need to practise more. Why use manual focus? The focus ring of 50mm f/1.8 is one of hardest to turn too. Have you tried live view? Auto focus is slow but you have a much bigger view.
