May I know if I get a 60d with a 17-40mm L lens combo for more on scenery and zoom features... Is it a good combo rather than get a 18-135mm
Better with 10-22 or others like Tokina 11-16. 17-40 are not wide on crop body.

SumoBear said:Hi 60Ders,
Just like to ask around if there is anyone having a battery grip for their 60D? Will the additional grip balance off heavier lens like a 70-200? I tried using the 70-200 on my 60D and the balance is kinda thrown off and going me some discomfort during shoots. Any advice? Thanks

bro , pm me your price and shot count le.With the recent launch of the 5Dmk3, many people are selling the 5Dmk2 and many 60D owners are selling their 60D to buy the 5ds so you will see ALOT of 60D for sale here and really competitive price.
Honestly, this is the best time to buy 2nd hand cameras now it's like a fire sale i know because i had to sell my 60D with 2 lenses and batt grip and 3yr warranty for only $1.1k!!! That's a really low price but because everyone is selling low, i had to sell lower..because i had to pay for my mk3 hehe..
So do look at the BnS thread..you will find really good deals on 2nd hand 60D get one with warranty and don't need to look at buying brand new in shops..all the freebies they give you won't need or use..trust me..in fact, 2nd hand also can get the freebies i gave away all my freebies to the guy that bought it anyways..never used..
Dear all,
would it be too late for me to consider 60D since this model is quite old.
I just bought 600D less than a week ago, and realized that i am more comfortable with those dedicated control of 60D and would like to considering selling existing 600D body and get the 60D, not sure would it be a great upgrade afterall...
please advise me.
Kongfu said:Was in the same dilemma couple of months back and finally took the plunge to upgrade. I upgraded solely for the better ergonomics the 60D is offering compare to the 600D. So you need to ask yourself how discomfortable are you with the controls on the 600D to justify for a switch... for me i can live with the buttons/controls but i cant live with the smaller build of the 600D as I have rather big hands...so you nid to decide if the buttons/controls are worth the switch cos no one can decide for you![]()
Thanks, I have the same thought as you and bought the 60D last Sunday, shooting happily. Learning more
