Those photos are pretty nice. perhaps some prime lens will be even better?

Yes, I hope to be able to try the 85mm... Beauty outside.. Monster inside :p

Those are some of the best food photos I've ever seen! Very nice composition and I assumed cropped.

There were a couple of photos which looked so delicious, that I wanted to reach into the screen and steal the food!

If you are so worried, then spend the extra money. No confidence then buy from the place that gives you confidence!

Chill bro.. no need to get worked up. LOL

I'm just replying to vincentckh87's question, and sharing my views on the risks involved. :)

Very funny. The photos don't even do a mobile phone justice. Lighting, composition and colors are not good and they aren't sharp. I hope the camera and lens can do better. :(

The camera and lenses are good, but the photographer is not so... :(

Yeah I guess so, I just didn't want to imply that. Anyway, thanks for posting and skill comes with practice! ;)

Will have to keep learning :p

Personally I find the photos quite acceptable, especially the first two. Given the low lighting conditions and lack of studio lights for proper highlighting, I think that the camera and photographer did quite well.
