16bit is able to store more colors which result in smoother gradient.

Depends on what you shoot n what you use yr photos for I guess. For most people including myself it probably is.

There is talk that a

46.1mp :bigeyes: Canon DSLR will be previewed at PhotoPlus 2012 in New York City between October 24 – October 27, 2012. There have been a couple of sources confirming that a 46mp prototype Canon DSLR is in the wild, though not claimed to be anywhere near production ready. Availability is not expected until well into 2013.

Might be looking on more lighter cam like, Fuji X-Pro 1

understand that you bought it at cathay marine square.

i bought mine at with kit for $5300 CC, at cathay peninsular. They gave me B&W protector FOC

No. 10MP more than a D800/E might sound like a lot but the actual increase in horizontal and vertical resolution is pretty small.

CR is continuing to suggest that Canon will be making a major announcement at next month's PhotoPlus Show in New York City. The huge announcement of course is for the 46.1 mp monster. Additionally, Canon may also be announcing:

i) Official announcement for the 200-400 1.4x lens.
ii) Two additional lens announcments

Is anyone going to this show?

Canon's going trigger happy with camera releases... they are like shooting out 14 cameras per second...

I think that they may be trying to play catch up from the lack of introductions last year due to the tsunami. Can't complain though... wish it was like this every year!
