I am looking to "upgrade" (finally....) and have been calling around the various shops to obtain pricing. The best price I've gotten so far is S$4,100/- cash (i think with a 32Gb SD card - not sure of brand). Can I check if this is reasonable as I've been away from this little red dot for the last 2 years so have not been keeping in touch. Thanks in advance in helping my journey towards FF.

You don't say I also don't know it's grey set and their warranty is like that one! I think you go print out Ageha comments and show it to the fat guy is a much better deal! Just a mere $40 more only!

I just don't feel comfortable paying them 4k, then they send to me. No safety at all! If they have ready stock and I pay cash, still ok:dunno:

From what I can remember, BG-E11 is about S$400, LP-E6 is about S$120...

Cheaper there..bought my BG-E11 $375...

True... Canon does not warranty their battery grips.

Personally, I'm not a huge battery grip fan. For me, it is a nice to have rather than a need to have. I rented one in Singapore to try out and found the extra weight more of a hindrance.

Even though the price here in Toronto is attractive, I think I'll skip it and wait for a year and pick one up on the used market for C$150 or less.

Did you guys buy extended warranty for the 5d3? Is the $350-$400 worth it?

Also, did you attend the free training at Canon? I'm planning to go there even though I have been using my camer for a few months now.

found it! Only valid within first 4 months after the purchase of ur camera.
Mine was bought more than 4 months ago and my request for the training is under review to see if i will be allowed *cross fingers*

I think that this is only available to the 48 contiguous states.

Ha Ha... what many Canadians do is maintain a postal box just across the border for just such occasions. I am sure that there other ways of doing it also.

at this price, i am wondering if it is the start of lowering 5d3 price to make it more affordable or price closer to d600 to be competitive. it certainly has some attractiveness if d600 is likely to price slight under S$3k during initial sales
