the d800 live view issue is well known,
some remedied by adjusting the contrast and sharpness which helps a bit, but the limitation starts to kick in once the noise shows up, achieving critical focus is very hard, almost impossible

really a downer for such a fine camera..

After getting mkiii I notice my picture are getting sharper...

85 1.8 used to be -13 MAF on the mkiii is 0.

Ok I'm not sure if it was posted before but I have a quick question.

Currently I am unable to set ISO 50, 51200, 102400. These are greyed out but visible.

I have read through the Canon manual. They said I have to turn off Highlight Tone Priority but it is already off.

The settings I've read to change the ISO tolerance is under Camera icon, 2nd block, ISO speed settings -> ISO Speed.

Please enlighten me as I used to own a 7D and the settings were different.

Those are lo and hi settings..disabled by default..you need to enable it but best not to use...it's noisy

Yes I know man! But apparently on the PDF instruction manual they did tell me how to enable them. Actually I'm more interested in shooting at ISO 50. I can't be bothered about the other 2 ISO settings... I called MS Color for help but they apparently did not even know ISO 50 exists on 5D Mark 3... Lolx

ISO50 on the mk3 isn't actually better than ISO100..in fact the ISO with the best DR is ISO400 if you look at the test charts...i don't think you're going to find much diff from ISO50 to ISO400 on modern day cameras..they're all equally noise free so i'd rather shoot at ISO400 for more DR..i only use ISO100 is i need a longer exposure..if not i'm almost always on ISO400

Oh, source is canonrumors..retaillers overseas but i presume SG will be soon since we go the mk3 faster than anyone else in the world really..anyways, ebay already got Pixel brand for pre-order..shipping June10..i tried to preorder but they don't ship to SG Looke like got to wait for Hercules or Phottix brand ones...
