thanks guys for the quick reply :) i guess i have to diy then

Be patient... Currently there's none in the market, unless you DIY from big pieces of screen protectors for mobile phones.
i asking my friend to get me for me in Japan

I just got mine from TK with free screen protector. $4335 on manhattan CC. After rebate will amount to $4135. With other rebates included only $4085

Sorry, what is manhattan CC?

I got a 75-300mm III usm recently for the 5D3 coz it was the cheapest. Got it for 200.

Decided to shoot the moon to see the difference between my 500d as well as the 55-250mm IS.

The results are quite clear. 55-250mm wins in terms of clarity.

All settings at 1/320 f/7.1 ISO 100

Seems like i have to save up for a L telephoto lens for 5d3 >.<

I strongly recommend people to get the EFS 55-250mm IS @ 240 over the 75-300 III USM @ 200.

I believe he is referring to the Standard Chartered Manhattan credit card.

I got a sandisk extreme 32gb class 10 45mb/s card.

Max shots i could get at high speed continuous was 30.

I am using lexar 400x UDMA 32gb, it show buffer as 36 even I set
Record to multiple on my slower sandisk sdhc class 4 15mb/sec. Whether SD or CF as primary have no difference in buffer.
Strange, this mean there is no advantage of
Buying faster card ????

the pictures looked unbelievable OOF :dunno:

my moon shot with 70-300L wasn't like that. I know it's a L lens, but it shouldn't be that "unsharp" right (for the 75-300)?

The amount of pictures that can be stored by the buffer is FIXED, it cannot change, and is the amount is based on the size of the photos taken. What you can change is how fast the buffer is cleared by having a faster card. Understand?

1D series buyer are mostly PRO who make $ out of it.
So that is normal. It is a business tool not a hobby.

Sadly iam not one of the pros u mentioned.

Depends lah.. Actually SanDisk Ultra 30MB/s cards are fast enough to even take 1D4's max 10FPS burst.

Actually to be able to take 10fps is one thing.
To record how many shots continuously is yet another thing.

cos your pocket is deep and willing to spend mah.. :p

yup I understand that. but my SanDisk Ultra 30MB/s CF card can take the max 20 continuous shots for max RAW + max JPEG from 1D4 (as specified by Canon), tried it and it worked fine :)

I tested the 16-35 II.
It is a parfocal lens.

Tested all my zoom lens out of curiosity.
The results are:-

1. 16-35mm F2.8 L II (parfocal lens)
2. 100-400mm L (parfocal lens)
3. 70-200mm F2.8 L IS II (non-parfocal lens)

Thanks, I got it now.
36 as buffer is more than enough for me!
That is high speed shooting continuous at 6 frames/sec for 6secs until buffer is full.
I probably just get a class 4 high capacity sdhc card as Secondary backup will do.
My CF will be fast enough to clear the buffer
Rather quick.
