Thanks, but I think you missed my point. I'm not moaning about the overall weight of a DSLR system.

Hmm, then try 35 and 50 from your 24-70, then decide u want 35 or 50 more, then get the L of the length :p

Nothing wrong with the camera lah, but you don't have to use HDR in the above scenes. They should look perfectly colourful and vibrant by itself, especially the one with fruits!

haha i get what u mean. nth that's interesting to shoot, so i randomly just shot it in HDR.

btw, regarding the multiple exposure, should i be moving about to take photos, or should my subject be the one that's moving about while i stay still to capture the shots?

That's entirely up to your own creativity! No rights or wrongs as long as awesome photos are produced!

actually, I liked it. it helps as 5D3 is more heavy than 5D2 :D

no tripod, but I place it on the ledge at the corridor.

It's a 7 exposure HDR, from -3 to +3

Cool! dun really know how to use the hdr mode. Keep using the default only but not giving me the "wow" factor. Shall try it... Thanks!

erm, it's not the in-cam HDR :p

I did 7 shots manually, and did HDR via PhotoMatrix :p

ahhh, manual exposure bracketing. :)

a couple of HDR taken with the camera.

I really like this photo. I especially like the positioning of the lone woman on the right side in what appears to be a busy market but she is the only one there. Amazingly, she is looking straight at the camera. This really looks like a painting... very creative! It really works! Well done!

wow thanks for the comment. the lady is actually my friend, buying fruits after lunch. just trying out the HDR function. thanks again!

Considering the 5D3 can't change focus screens and based on some user's reports that the 5D3 won't shoot with some MF lenses..i wonder how the Zeiss works on the 5D3..have you tried? Does it work well?

Tried it and have no problems at all.

dpreview did studio scene comparison for mk3 here Canon EOS 5D Mark III Hands-on Preview: Digital Photography Review

its a bit strange to me, it seems 7d noise at iso 3200/6400 in raw is only slight noiser than 5dmk3. am i concluding it correctly?

in jpeg, 7d is much softer than 5dmk3. the digic 5 is doing great job in 5dmk3.

check with u guy,i use the multi exposure function how come the subject is fader then other?isnt suppose to be 2 of the same exposure?

If you look at the raw file comparison on dpreview, it seems that the 5d3 doesn't really have any advantage in high iso compared to the d800. Maybe just slightly less noise in the shadow region. This is despite 5d3 having 14mp less than the d800 sensor. So where is the lower pixel density going to?

There's actually difference. I looked at the RAW sample, it's about 2/3 stop better on 5D3. Look at the details and noise quality.

Oh, the WTF face the Yodabashi salesman gave me when I asked for the MkIII screen protector.

this is why the D800 sensor is superior to almost anything out in the market…including their very own D4…i wonder how they going to sell the D4 with the D800 being soo bloody good..granted the 5D3 is slightly better in noise BUT the D800 is 36mp! The details are much better than 5D3, being that little bit better in noise doesn't make sense with a smaller sensor. I guess it's for a different market…you want details, get D800, you want smaller file size but better ISO in jpg, get5D3

LOL... Anyway I'm waiting for the GGS to come out for 5D3 too! Now using an al-cheapo screen protector which doesn't cover the full screen.

Everyone is waiting for some form of protector :)
I also using cheapo one i bought from Daiso meant for the Nintendo DS..there's 2 inside and both are big enough to cut the size..so got standby…works pretty well actually..for $2
