This is my first field video test of my newly acquired Canon 5D Mark III DSLR.
No Grading
Shot on a EF 24-70mm F2.8L USM lens.
Default HD 1080p 25fps settings
On board mic recording

In this video, you will see that the amount of moire is reduced, but not completely gone, though youtube's compressions has negated some of the resolution and softened the moire. There are some quick pans near the end of the video but does not show much rolling shutter. Aggressive panning will reveal the rolling shutter. Overall, I'm very pleased with the results. This will make shooting footage for my VFX experiments much better! Definitely a huge jump from my previous Canon 550D(T2i) quality wise, anyone who shot video with the the 550D will understand what I mean.

So hv u earned enough commission to get the body..... hehe...

Oh, no. I just saw a black little dot on my 5D3 viewfinder. OH, NO! I did not drop it or change lens since I bought it back from the shop. The little dot does not appear on the photos I have taken though, but it makes me very irritated. This happened once on my old 40D as well, a few black little dots on the viewfinder. Then after a few months, they disappear.

Any bro have any idea of what is going on? Should I send my beloved 5D3 to service? Arghzzzz......

Dust in vf? quite normal....sometimes they disappear, often they just stay there...

I thought 5D3 is supposed to be dust-resistant??? It is a FF weather-sealed cam body. Not to mention I just bought it a week ago......

af is very, very impressive
25.6k iso is useable,
but i can't seem to get use to the play back zooming in part orz

Try blowing air towards mirror and focusing screen. Had that happen to me last week also.

WOW, nv thought the new 5D3 got this issue. Bro, your 5D3 also ganna little dust on the view finder? what is canon doing??? So irritated......
"towards mirror and the focus screen", meaning I need to dismount the lens and do it?

Dust resistant doesn't mean dust proof. Weather resistant doesn't mean water proof. Anyway, don't think it is possible for any camera to be totally dust proof. The mirror and focus screen is constantly exposed to air and dust. When I got my old 50D, I had dust on sensor the very day of purchase...even compact pns can have sensor dust....

Well, I definitely hope it is dust proof, paid for so much for it...

Thanks, bro chengpenguin, I did what you suggested and it is clean now.

Yup glad it worked for you. Small issue lah. As long as it didn't affect your photo, it's probably dust on mirror or viewfinder - thus you see it through your VF.
If the dust spec appears on your photo, it's dust on sensor. I'll go to manual sensor cleaning mode, face camera down and blow some strong air directly onto the sensor. But remember, do not use compressed air. Just normal air blower.
