here's a random shot done on ISO12800 on 50L. Was walking around with that ISO and testing corner AF points on 50L at the same time.
Was surprised at the quality:

avsquare said:most likely not.. the popular shops should have been emptied by now. you probably have better luck trying places like lucky plaza or less popular places, or just go RRP retailers.
BTW, you can try Southern Cross @ Lucky Plaza to see if they have stock. Pricing may not be that competitive, but I bought my BG-E6 from there, price was slightly better than the expensive Cathay Photo.
And they do not charge you extra when you pay by credit card, just like CP.
hehe.
At this rate soon we will be shooting at ISO 1 Million, 2M, 4M, etc.
Anyone using 3rd part flash with 5d3? My nissin 622 totally cannot trigger in ttl. In manual mode, it can trigger, but cannot sync with camera, so it doesn't capture the flash...
Ok i'll shoot one for you tomorrow morning.i wanna see the corner sharpness for landscape use.
thanks!
Ok i'll shoot one for you tomorrow morning.
It's late now so no point shooting at night..cant see sharpness..
I'll shoot at F8? Or do you want it shot wide open?
ISO1M.. if there's a considerably clean ISO1M, maybe a few decades time? even so, at such crazy high ISO, the light signal:noise signal ratio would be so close to render the image useless, I believe there's a limit how much ISO can be raised.. :dunno:

Interesting read. Soon we won't need IS lenses.
Oh yea bros who own the 5D3, do you guys feel that 5D3 is more battery draining than 5D2?
Somehow, I notice that my battery depletes faster than 5D2. And no, both my original LP-E6 are new ones, just in case you are wondering if my battery is aging![]()

I never owned a Mk2 so i dunno how that performs..
But i owned a 60D and yes the Mk3 batt dies alot faster.
Well, more processing, more features and definately that bigger and brighter screen..can't possible have same batt life.
In fact, the mk3 is only rathed to shoot about 800shots per charge? That's rather low..
I never had the need to change batt last time but i think this cam…need to liao..lucky i got 4 spares...
