How u arrive at 1650? It's only $1100 difference for local new sets, so its a no brainier if u ask me. Get the MIII.

You may want to wait for grey pricing for the MIII before buying if not in a rush. But seriously the local pricing is really good.

I would say... difference of <$100 here and there, just hoot the one who have stock lah. You compare here and there later no stock anywhere.

I'm getting mine at a price higher than what you guys quoted, but still within reasonable range

I think that's for grey set. Street pricing should be around 3-3.1k.

You will end up with the 5D3 at the end of the day anyway, why not buy it now and save yourself being lowballed when selling 5D2. :devil:

actually I find it reasonable. I mean, my 5D2 is a local set with warranty until 29 Apr 2013, if not for being used, the condition is as good as MINT. I am not dying to upgrade to 5D3 anyways, so I am not going to dump by 5D2 at dirt cheap prices like $2k lol. :bsmilie:

:bsmilie: well sooner you will be forced to dump your 5D2 below $2k! It was just few week ago when used price is still at 2.4k, then dropped to 2k currently.

After today you might see used price dips below 2k :bsmilie:

I really feel for those who bought new 5D2 in the last few months. I will say this is all Canon's fault
