was browsing and found out that dd-electronics are doing pre-order for the set...
price $4881...
they have their g1x for $1099 and SLR price is only $899... this is $200 / almost 20% cheaper...
for 5dmk3... hmmm i doubt it will be 20% cheaper... if it's 20% cheaper then it's only $4000 in SLR Revolution

I wonder why they have G1x at $1099 when the RRP in Canon sg site is only $999...

In about a month's time, we should have a pretty good idea of the IQ of this beast.
I went to visit my local retailer yesterday and he said that they are expecting copies in late March/early April. So by mid April I would expect that our little camera would have been molested thoroughly enough to provide a reasonable idea of how good the IQ really is. Certainly, the early testimonials of those professionals who have had a chance to use the 5D3 have been positive. Let's hope that this sentiment flows out into the general user community.
