I sold off my 1 series to get 5D Mk II partly because of video.

definitely i wouldn't sell mine for that.

and seriously who uses the built in flash???? if you do than obviously the 5D3 is not for u.

My 7D built in flash is used to trigger my 580EX II. Other than that, I don't use the built in flash at all.

Ahaha.. True. Just noticed that D800 have it. Maybe the Nikon user need that?

Current I am fine with my 7D. Casual shooter. So 5D3 is clearly not for me. You are true again.

D700/D800 built in flash comes with wireless flash commander function. It's very useful for strobist.

Nope, there is no wireless flash commander on 5dmk3.

I think that a lot of people would agree with you but when you look bond the mp's, there's a lot that this camera offers.

Regardless, I'm still under the impression that Canon isn't done yet. I believe that there will be another model, be it a 5D X or the elusive 3D, that will be introduced in September that will be overflowing in mp's (perhaps 40 mp's or more).

Thats true if with 36MP and 8fps, think wil need dual digic 5 processor thus price will be at least usd3.5k onward

I have the 5D MKI for about 5 years and am contemplating to upgrade to one with good video feature. If I'm not wrong, 5D MKII, 60D and 7D all cannot use AF in video mode. Can only focus manually. Does anyone know if the 5D MKIII can AF when taking videos?

I doubt you can AF in 5D mk iii. Most likely you need to MF in video mode.
