I just happened at Canon show room at vivo. I asked the staff there if the 5D mk3 was officially launch... He told me not yet... Supposing to be next week...

Then I asked him why there were already people got the camera... His reply.... The stock is not from their distribution channel.... I was like.. Huh???

That's an interesting story. If it wasn't from their distribution channel, then where did they come from????

i plan to sell my croppers, then invest in 5DMK3 + 17-40L.

the 17-55, i not gonna replace it as i mostly shoot at the 55mm(88mm in FF terms). without the crop factor, my 70-200L will become more usable for indoor portraits.

though i will lose maybe 1/3 stop in DOF but i feel ok la. i just don't like the idea of 24-70L as it has no IS which my 17-55 is regarded for.

yeah, MAYBE the nifty fifty will finally see some actions. on FF, it should bring some new perspectives? heh.

actually i not sure why i dislike 50mm prime on crop but 55mm on 17-55 is ok.

It shines on a FF. I believe you will love it on FF. Used to use it quite abit. But I know some use #%^** on this lens, so up to individual la...

Just bought my set from Orient Photo, called up last night to order. BTW I used to shoot D300, how do I test if my 5d3 is no problem? Thanks in advance
BTW..mustafa, parissilk, TK, CP all no stock till next batch delivery 1 month later apparently

I think the cameras are authentic but the customer service staff is fake.

Shops like Cathay Photo has been around for a long long time. No way they would be taking their stocks from non-official channels - especially for such well branded products.

Is he kidding me? Don't tell us the over-4k-cam body we just bought are FAKE!!!
