Correction - The man behind the camera makes the picture, not so much the lens
Try the MC UV filter, it works better

Those who are using the Phottix Grip for 550d.. Wondering if your on/off switch for the grip is a little loose? or is it just me?
Hi anyone know where is the best place with the best price for canon 550-135 mm + 50mm RF lens?
Cheers.
mine's quite stiff. Switching to ON is stiffer than switching to OFF.
Mine Canon Original, no problem at all !.

550D users, this Sat evening anyone interested to go for a landscape shoot at Woodlands waterfront ? Beautiful sunset.. With tianya filter
Oi you say 5-6 ppl only then you wanna invite your whole 550D kampung:angry:
:bsmilie:
I just bought the 550D too. Someone told me that not all the Canon lens could be use together with 550D since 550D is a APS-C. What does the APS-C mean?
Can someone tell me in detail? I will appreciate it a lot.
First of all , welcome to the 550D family
APS-C, what is that ?
APS-C, in another term, refers to the 1.6x crop factor on your 550D sensor.
It means that any lens fitted on your camera, focal length 50mm for example, it becomes a 80mm. -- 50mm X 1.6 = 80mm
In your lens mount side, you can see 2 dots, a red dot and a white dot.
The red dot is for the EF Lenses, Usually prime lens or L lenses.
The white dot is for the EF-S lenses, usually zoom lens like kit lens and etc.. 17-55...
Well, since your camera has 2 dots, red and white, your camera is able to mount any EOS lenses, but not the olden type, FD lenses which is in the film days.
Only full frames cameras like the 5D mark II or the 1D series are only able to mount EF lenses, not EF-S lenses.
Anyone got the dilemma to upgrade from 550D to 60D ??
Another explanation for this is that the 550D's sensor is smaller than the fullframe bodies like 5d or 1ds sensor, so a 1.6x field of view multiplier would have to be applied to any lens mounted.
