Hi there!~

Gt a question to ask.... does the batt grips uses 2 batt at the same time or u will need to swap the batt once one of them dry out... just wondering :)

Yes, for full shoot I use a fastpack 200. It can fit a 550D with grip, a small lens from 50 1.8 to big boys like 70-200 2.8 w/o any prob, still can add 2 lens and a flash.. Top compartment can put umbrella and clothes..

Tk foto selling at $100

Hi odyssey-Boy,
I had just went to check out the hands on feel of fastpack 200. It feel good but the down side of it is that there are no rain cover.

Can i know how did u prevent or solve this problem.

please advise thank you

Those who are using the Phottix Grip for 550d.. Wondering if your on/off switch for the grip is a little loose? or is it just me?

blueacidic, can i know how much did u pay for your phottix grip ?

go to those adventure shops that sells bags for trekking.. and get one of those bag rain covers cost around $10 to $20.. if I'm not wrong the rain cover brand is deuter or something.

somehow i use eneloop batteries in my 550D with the grip..

Can i check if those who are using batt grip, does you guys purchase a twin batt charger or you are still using the default single battery charger given by canon.

I am thinking during travel it will be tough to charger batteries one after the other.

haha now i can join this thread as i just got myself a 550D kit II. =D

Saw your sig, modified 50 f1.8? what does that mean? :o

Canon 50 1.8 lens.

52-67mm step up
- customized powder coat red -- for L lens style ..
- 67mm B+W XSpro Filter
- 67mm Rubber Hood -- use for temporary.. Gonna go china and custom a red hood for me.

does the battery life last as long as 2 canon/3rd party batteries inside? just curious

I'm not sure but u can do the math, with 6pcs of eneloop in my camera, it allows me to shoot more than 1000 shots.

And do take it mind that eneloop is one of the latest which doesn't discharge it's life that much compared to others..

Woah. for such a cheap lens, u use such an expensive filter for it  the powder coat red is quite interesting though, where to get it done? i also want :bsmilie:

thanks for clarifying, i didnt know that rechargeable batteries last as long as the normal batteries do in the grip.

i sent it to Europe, for a special coating. cos my dad is in coating business.. and a few products he is sole distributing among the south east asia..

u should check out the sanyo website to see their technology in building batteries.. they are very long lasting.. but not on flash.. as the recharging time is slower..

there are some in camera settings which you can tune your pics to your liking....
try getting a better lens?...

think the ppl in this forum will ask you to post some pics to share with the settings you used... so ppl can advise you accordingly

From looking at the photo, your photo doesnt look blurred. in fact, it looks perfectly fine. I think the blurred portion you are referring to is the out of focus region. This happen when u use a small aperture or long focal length eg. f5.6 135mm. In order to get the entire picture in focus, u need to use a larger aperture.

Those are my conclusion based on the 1024x683 images u uploaded to flickr. Maybe on your higher resolution version at 100% crops would show a slight blur, but i m unable to see that through the version u uploaded.

Hope that helps! :)
