i juz got my grip. took abt 9 days to get here. qualitywise its nt spectacular but certainly adequate.
scroll is less firm than the body scroll but firm enuf for me. i dont overshoot values or pics when scrolling.
buttons feel like the Dpad buttons rather than the buttons it represent..
rubber grip at the trigger area can see places where the rubber doesnt fit well. off by abt 3-5mm. the rest of the rubber grip is fine.
on-off switch is flimsy but will nt switch position due to gravity
overall build quality is nt the same as body but it doesnt feel flimsy either. holding the grip feels firm in hand and works without issue. for these few picky issues, its worth the $100 u save than buying the original
phottix one???
my assignment last night

Hi guys,
can i check if most of CSers will go for tripod, batt grip or flash.
My understanding of tripod was to be used mainly for night scene. I had trouble holding the camera for 1 sec shoot during my HK trip. The only moment when i had really wish that i had a tripod was only during the night scene shot of The peak, other then that, there is hardly any requirement.
As for Batt grip, i am usually travelling in urban places taking portrait shots, which i feel if there is a batt grip for vertical shutter button it will be great.
Not much of an idea when flash photography will be useful.
I would like to hear some CSers whom might had experience the same issue as me.
