Thank You alot!!:D

Hello,

can i check if anyone purchase the extended 24 months warranty?
Are we allow to purchase the extended warranty half way thru the original 12 months warranty?

Please advise.

Thank you ^^

Before this, i am always thinking of getting either tamron 17-50mm or canon 17-55mm, but the thought of how do i deal with my current kit lens 18-135mm never come into my mind.

Suddenly it just strike me. what shall i do with my kit lens.
It is still 2wks old.

Shall i keep it for a longer reach which cover from 50 to 135mm or shall i sell it to someone in BnS?

Can i know what will u guys do if you're in my position.

I sold mine and got the tamron

HERE is the comparison between tamron 17-50 (non VC) VS canon 17-55

canon has better image quality but it cost 3X, tamron is a big bang for the buck

Practice, practice, practice. Upgrading your lens will not make you a better photographer. Go out and shoot anything and everything! only then u will improve =D
Thanks for the tip. :D

Thanks. Will have a look at them.

no point, might else well spent a little and get a EF 100mm f/2.8 macro, no need to upgrade even though you switch to full frame. I borrowed this lens to play, quite fun, and most of the things i shoot like diecast cars models, are pretty sharp...
Guess I have to save more to get a better lens that can support future body upgrades...
Mind explaining the difference between the 550D and a full frame camera? I'm kinda new to these...:)

u mean purchase with canon or other shop?

U can do an extention on warrently once u register online or pass ur purchase date

Also, call up the shops and share with us the prices. Dont be lazy when buying such an expensive item, do some research before hand. :)

Sorry if this offended you, not meant to.

I was thinking abt the same things as u. After some thought, decided to keep my kit lens. Kit lens are good for oversea trip when I do not want to keep changing lens and carrying too much stuff. The other "good" lens, I will use it for local shooting..

Why is it so? I found this lens is very value for money (especially for those who cannot afford IS ver)

Agreed, as long as your shutter speed is enough, dont IS steps in and help much. Most of the L lenses like for example, 135mm f2, dont have IS, but can take nice pictures. And for Killerslayer1992, pls don't talk or criticize lenses unless you have tried them for at least a month or two.

Hey guys, was thinking of getting a 550D as my first dslr.
Want to do some price check before my purchase.
Best offer i got so far was from TK fotos.
1598 for kit 2 with freebies: tripod, blower, bag, 8gb. not sure if screen protector and filter is included or not but most likely not.
1599 for kit 2 with freebies from ms color: screen protector and filter, bag and 8gb.

Should i get it from either one of them?

Regards,
X

check with MS last sat. Price $1599 but no screen and filter. jus bag and 8GB (claim from Canon).

One question: their set is made in Taiwan, however, i check BEST, Courts and their set is made in Japan. Is it that the reason their price is lower?

Is there any different with taiwan and japan made?
