No regret at all as I used to shoot with D800. I know DF only has 39 AF points, but not everybody need additional 12 points at the extreme edge/corner. I am often amazed with the great speed and focus in low light, although without AF assist light.

Reading this thread really makes me wanna swap one of my "boring" looking bodies with Df.
You guys are poisonous.!!! ;)

Beware of the cat, it is so poisonous and contiguous ;)

I'm just curious, hv u guys tried to use Df as 2nd body for AD weddings or events?
(I said 2nd bcos it is not designed to be used for these as primary body.)

What do you think would be the impressions of the clients/guests of Df (assuming most of them are non-photographers)?
This question is related to the look and size of Df only as i'm confident Df is fully capable technically. :)

Is it somewhere in the design specifications that state that the Df is not designed for shooting weddings and events?

Cats are not poisonous nor do they spread diseases (despite what Vivian Bala said during the previous SARS incident when he mistook civet cats to be cats resulting in a nationwide culling of street cats in Singapore). ;)

Not designed for these as Primary body, in my opinion. (the key word here is Primary bro).
I would not use Df with 24-70 + flash for 10 hrs ADW without batt grip. :) (of cos anyone can use it for any photography and Nikon will never say it is not designed for a particular type of photography but it is intended to "slow" you down for a "pure" photography experience).

So I ask if anyone has used it as 2nd body and what would be the perceptions of the clients/guests.

Cheers,
Andy

I think if most of them are not photographers, they might not even bother abt it unless u r using a compact cam. If u r worried, probably get a black df for less attention.

haha. yes that was my thinking too. They won't care or notice it.
Thks for your input. I'm just collecting responses from people here. :)

btw, If i ever get Df, I will get Silver.

Glad you guys like em ...

What camera you currently using Andy?
and by the way ... we are not JUST poisonous.
we are good looking too ... heheheee ;)

true what jeff7id said No need for that 39AF points. 9 is sufficient.
As for me, in portrait, I always use center. Once focused, just press AEL/AFL and recompose.
Its different when taking streets. You need that points.

And yes ... the more I look at silver, the more I like it

I'm using D600 & D800 bro. Thats why i was thinking to swap one of these with Df :)
Nbr of focus points doesn't bother me at all. I only use the 1 at the centre and re-compose.

wooh !! ... D6/800 ... not good enough ? :embrass:

lol. because I kena poison by u guys :)

and it's not like Df will be 3rd body.
1 of these 2 can be swapped with Df la.
so in the end, still 2 bodies.

Because the user would look more chio shooting with the Df. The other 2 camera look very non-descript and do not stand out in the crowd compared to the Df. Some how I feel very shiok when I shoot with the Df unlike with the D800E. ;)

haha poison :)
Even some of my friends who are Canon users, say Df looks "cool"

Anyone try Df with Fujinon EBC 50mm 1.2 (Nikon mount) & shoot B&W? Think of getting this lens.
